ARMSTRONG SPALLUMCHEEN HEALTHCARE AUXILIARY
BURSARY AWARD – HEALTHCARE PROGRAMS
MATURE POST-SECONDARY STUDENT
A bursary in the amount of $2,000 is provided to mature person entering a post-secondary healthcare program.
Read through the bursary criteria below to determine eligibility and the documentation required to apply.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Individual has been out of school for a period of time and wishes to pursue an education leading to work in the healthcare field;
- Enrolling in a healthcare program at an accredited post-secondary institution;
- Permanent resident of Armstrong, Spallumcheen or Enderby;
- Volunteering or paid activity and/or demonstrated natural aptitude in the healthcare field.
Documentation Required:
- Copy of registration or application to a healthcare program at an accredited post-secondary institution;
- Letter stating:
- Proposed career goals in healthcare field;
- Interests, volunteer activities;
- Employment history, especially in healthcare, and;
- Description of education completed.
- Letter of reference supporting application;
- Documentation indicating permanent residency in Armstrong, Spallumcheen or Enderby.
Selection and Payment:
- Applications must be submitted by June 30th;
- Applicants will be interviewed before selection;
- Only successful candidates will be advised of selection;
- The successful candidate has until December 31st to enroll. A copy of proof of enrollment from the institution must be submitted to receive payment.
